First individual comprehensive solo exhibition of Bracha L. Ettinger's art organised by Muzeum Śląskie in collaboration with Uniwersytet Śląski w Katowicach. Dr Anna Chromik from the Institute of English Cultures and Literatures is curating this exhibition.

Eurydice – Pieta is the first comprehensive solo exhibition of Bracha Lichtenberg Ettinger’s art in Poland.

The exhibition features Bracha’s works from the last three decades. Her oil paintings, often created over several years, are accompanied by earlier and more recent drawings and three video works. An important element of the exhibition are the artist’s notebooks. Original artworks themselves, they contain drawings and document the tropes and traces of her artworking process and daily life along with her philosophical and psychoanalytical thinking fragments.

Bracha Lichtenberg Ettinger (b. 1948 in Tel Aviv) is painter and interdisciplinary artist; one of the leading figures of the new European painting, a groundbreaking theoretician of Lacanian psychoanalysis and sexual difference, Chair & Professor of Art and Psychoanalysis at the European Graduate School and psychoanalyst. She is a daughter of Polish Holocaust survivors. She is now working between Tel Aviv and Paris.
